On Tuesday, Primary Day, Republican voters in Gloversville have the opportunity to vote for a mayoral candidate who has extensive experience in budget preparation, working within multiple contract terms simultaneously, and negotiations. This candidate is Michael Ponticello who has been endorsed by the Gloversville Republican Committee based on his experience as a leader, an elected official and his belief in Republican principles and ideals.
In addition, he currently serves as the supervisor from Ward 5, which has provided him with the opportunity to positively work with representatives from the rest of the county, as well as with the many departments within county government. These relationships will be an asset in putting Gloversville on the path to revenue sharing and attracting new businesses.
Mike has a passion for Gloversville that comes through when he speaks about his vision for Gloversville. He was born, raised and educated here and returned after college to work for the city as recreation director, then as a coach, teacher and administrator in the Gloversville Enlarged School District. In addition he currently volunteers on multiple boards in Gloversville, as well as serving on countywide committee assignments within the Board of Supervisors.
These experiences and his passion for and commitment to Gloversville combine to make Mike Ponticello the best candidate to serve as mayor of Gloversville.
