JAVAC in need of community support

After reading the Sept. 28, Leader-Herald article concerning the lack of funding for JAVAC, the condition of its three vehicles and the leaking roof, I felt badly for residents who might need the services of an ambulance, but who may not receive them in a timely manner.

It is my understanding that these two ambulance services (Ambulance Service of Fulton County and JAVAC) do assist each other willingly, and as needed.

Surely there are several solutions to this dilemma of two services, one with apparently little backing, within a five plus mile radius.

Sounds like a good way to meet, greet and cooperate with our neighbors. Everyone might benefit.
