The city of Johnstown, Common Council is considering not funding our Johnstown Public Library for fiscal year 2017. This is a sad situation for the residents of the city of Johnstown, as the library provides so many services to the public.
Where else can you go to check out books, DVDs, use a computer, fax a letter, get income tax forms, read a newspaper, or a magazine in a warm comfortable environment, plus many other services, with a friendly staff that is always there to help you.
Our children have been going to the library for 40 years and every child should have the same opportunity they experienced.
Please join me in supporting the Johnstown Public Library and urge the mayor and the common council to support the Johnstown Public Library, a vital part of our city.
