Fix bathrooms at local beach

I find it disgusting and insulting that we have a New York state family park that has not had working bathrooms for two years. The bathrooms are on the property, but they have been locked and closed because “parts are needed for repairs.”

It does not take two years to get parts. If those running this operation were in private industry and they could not repair toilets for two years, they would be fired.

To add insult to injury, the park still charges visitors to enter this third-world operation (plastic outhouses are provided). Most of New York moved beyond outhouses 100 years ago, not Northampton beach apparently.

There is absolutely no excuse for this.

I have contacted the assemblyman who represents this district, Assemblyman Mark W. Butler.
