My name is Sebastian Lasher. Some of you might know me from Sebby Strong. On Dec. 19, 2015, my mom rushed me to the emergency room because my face was very swollen. There Dr. Wakeman and the amazing nurses took good care of me, but they had to send me to Albany, then I was placed in ICU for the first time. I was 12 then, and that’s when I was diagnosed with cancer.
I want to take a minute to thank everyone that has helped me and my family on my journey. Thank you to the ambulance that transported me, to my great oncologists, the ICU doctors and nurses. I want to thank every person and every single business that contributed to the party that was for me last year. Thank you to the firefighters, superheros united and Twin City Twisters for the superhero party. Shout out to toying around for suprise visits and encouragement. Thank you for all the prayers and support, and everyone that is a part of the Sebby Strong Facebook group. Thank you to Gloversville School District and all the students for your amazing videos, support, cards, and love. Thank you to my new school PTECH for being so supportive and helpful. You’re love has gotten us through a lot, and I am grateful. I am currently in remission, but have chemotherapy until May 2019. I have no doubts with an amazing community like this one surrounding me, everything will be OK. Thank you, for everything, everyone.
