While the Johnstown school board, in the face of its initial budget defeat, says the community must supply $200,000 to support the sports and extracurricular programs, I sense local companies will quickly respond to this need.
Not only will companies derive tax write-off benefits, but they would also generate excellent public relations. Who would not want to be able to advertise that they helped fund the football, field hockey, lacrosse or ski teams?
