Albany Cup tickets go on sale Friday morning

ALBANY – Tickets for the 2022 Albany Cup men’s basketball game between Siena and UAlbany go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday.

The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at MVP Arena.

The series, which began in 2001, is resuming for the first time in five years, after the schools announced a three-year agreement to renew the series in January.

This year’s game will be considered neutral site, UAlbany will host the Albany Cup at SEFCU Arena in 2023 and the 2024 Albany Cup will serve as a true home game for Siena at MVP Arena.

Tickets for the Nov. 12 game, available online at ticketmaster.com, start at $15, with half the arena being designated for Siena fans and the other half for UAlbany fans.

Siena fans are encouraged to contact the Siena Fan Relations Management Center by phone at (518) 487-2202 to secure the best possible deals. Group tickets, which are priced at $12 each for groups of 10 or more, can also be obtained by reaching out to the Fan Relations team by phone or by e-mail at [email protected]

UAlbany fans can secure tickets by contacting the UAlbany Great Danes Athletic Ticket Office by phone at 518-442-DANE (3263) or by email at [email protected] 

Siena and UAlbany met for 17 consecutive seasons in the Albany Cup from 2001-17, following the Great Danes’ elevation to the Division I level. The Saints hold a 10-7 advantage in the Albany Cup, with UAlbany capturing the most recent meeting 74-69 on Dec. 9, 2017.
