Broadalbin-Perth tops Scotia-Glenville in boys’ soccer — High schools

Broadalbin-Perth outscored Scotia-Glenville 3-1 in the second half to win the Foothills Council boys’ soccer game 4-2 Tuesday. Alexander Rogers led the Patriots with one goal and one assist. Antonio Daniello, Andres Hernandez Jr. and Landon Russom also scored for B-P. Massimo Pasquarelli had an assist. Quinn Fasciglione and Matt Schraa scored for the Tartans.

In non-league girls’ soccer action, Galway shut out Johnstown 4-0. Taylor Germain had a goal and two assists. Mae Budris had a goal and an assist. Abigail Gullett and Eva Anderson also scored. Olivia Davison-Guass had an assist. Eibhleann McElhinney and Germain each made two saves. Jordyn Tarbox made 22 saves for Johnstown.

In Western Athletic Conference girls’ volleyball, Canajoharie/Fort Plain topped Mayfield, 25-22, 25-21, 14-25, 25-23. Mayfield was led by Paige Meher’s 13 points, two aces, two kills, 12 assists and five digs. Blake Hoose had 21 points, seven kills and 15 digs.

Broadalbin-Perth swept Hudson Falls, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20 in the Foothills Council. Ava Therrien led the Patriots with nine kills, and Jocelynn Gruet added four blocks. Laurel Mitchell had 22 assists, while Haley Tomlinson and Camille Calderone provided seven and six kills, respectively. Lily Bump’s 10 points led Hudson Falls, with Rylan Walker adding seven digs.
