Gloversville picked up a 25-19, 25-18, 25-13 win over Amsterdam in a Foothills Council girls’ volleyball match. Allie Salvione had 18 assists, Marisa Dygon had nine kills, Jackie Rattray had 12 digs, Angelina Christman had 14 service points and Alyssa Cosselman had 10 service points for Gloversville.
Scotia-Glenville beat Johnstown 25-18, 25-20, 25-20, led by Tori Nardini’s seven kills and three blocks. Johnstown’s Daphne McGann had seven kills and six aces.
Galway was a 25-11, 25-14, 25-16 Western Athletic Conference winner against Canajoharie/Fort Plain as Amber Kolapkas provided 16 kills, Taylor Garrison added 10 kills, Kiera Allen and Courtney Smith each recorded six kills and Haleigh Hansen dished out 19 assists.
Scotia Glenville used four second-half goals — three of them by Saif AbuZahra — to pull away for a 5-1 Foothills Council win over Amsterdam. Jackson Estes and Quinn Fasciglione also scored for Scotia-Glenville, and Matt Schraa had three assists. Amsterdam got a late goal from Aundray Fowler and 10 saves from Juan Rivas.
South Glens Falls was a 10-0 Foothills Council field hockey winner over Gloversville, led by two goals each from Katie Morris and Adriana Currier. Mia Benincasa, Maeve McCarty, Kaia Dake, Ava Reynolds, Hannah Revell and Grace Jackson also scored. Gloversville’s Evelyn Clo made 17 saves.
