Paul earns NAC Player of the Week

POULTNEY, Vt. – Green Mountain College senior guard Chelsea Paul, a Northville graduate, earned the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week award for her performance this week on the basketball court.

Paul excelled in conference play this week, averaging 21.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. The senior guard shot 43.5 percent from the field and an impressive 62.5 percent (5-of-8) from downtown. On the defensive end of the court, Paul has improved her nose for the ball, leading the team in rebounding and also acting as the last line of defense, blocking three shots this week.

In the game against Lyndon, Paul filled up the stat sheet recording 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists. She probably had one of the best games of her career Saturday, scoring 31 points and grabbing a season-high 11 rebounds against Johnson.

“Chelsea’s achievement was well-deserved for her effort and performance this week,” Green Mountain coach Jen Heath said in a news release. “I am thankful that her contributions in all areas of the game were recognized as she continues to help lead this team in a multitude of different ways.”
