St. JOE volleyball loses to New York Mills

OPPENHEIM – Marissa Cavanaugh finished with 10 kills, four aces and two digs to lead New York Mills to a 3-1 win over St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah in a Center State Conference volleyball match Wednesday.

The Marauders won by scores of 25-12, 25-15 and 25-18.

Jenna Hamblin had 12 assists, three kills and three digs for New York Mills (8-4 overall, 6-2 CSC), while Sara Hamblin posted seven kills, four digs and two aces. Elaina Pacini added six aces and three kills for the Marauders.

Ashley Hill finished with five digs, three aces and three assists to lead St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah (4-8 overall, 2-3 CSC), while Kyleigh Hayner had 11 digs and two aces. Alyssa Swartz posted 12 digs for St. Johnsville/Oppenheim-Ephratah and Mackenzie Ferguson recorded three digs and two kills.
