FMCC women lose to Delhi, 68-60

DELHI – Tanya Barnes scored 16 points to lead SUNY-Delhi to a 68-60 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Mountain Valley Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Tuesday.

Yaya Soto finished with 14 points for the Lady Broncos, while Cassie Beaver added 12 points. Jackie Bailey and Bri Lambert each scored 10 points for Delhi (14-14 overall), which led 35-30 at the half.

Sherice Gayle finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead FMCC (16-6 overall, while Kassandra Flowers scored 17 points and had five assists.

After going 11-1 in the first half of the season, the Lady Raiders are just 5-5 after the winter break and just 1-4 in their last five games.

FMCC will host Clinton on Thursday at 6 p.m. before hosting Mohawk Valley on Saturday at 1 p.m. in its regular-season finale.
