HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Gloversville graduate Nathaniel Ligon, a freshman on the St. John Fisher men’s tennis team, went 5-0 on the team’s spring break trip to Hilton Head.
On Sunday, Ligon posted a 6-3, 6-3 win over Westminster’s Nathan Huber at fifth singles. St. John Fisher won the match, 8-1.
On Monday, Ligon recorded a 6-0, 6-4 win over Catawba College’s Alex McDonald at No. 6 singles. Catawba won the match, 7-2.
Ligon posted a 6-1, 6-4 win over Adrian’s Spencer Georgetti on Wednesday. Adrian won the match, 5-4.
On Thursday, Ligon notched a 6-2, 6-4 win over Malone University’s Andrew Hill at No. 6 singles. Malone won the match, 5-4.
Ligon competed the spring break trip with a 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (9-7) win over Elizabethtown College’s Billy Freitag. Elizabethtown won the match, 6-3.
St. John Fisher (1-5 overall) will host RIT at 4 p.m. on March 28.
