UTICA – The Fulton-Montgomery Community College softball team lost both ends of its Mountain Valley Conference doubleheader at Mohawk Valley Community College on Tuesday.
The Hawks won the first game 13-1 and the second game 27-0.
In the first game, Vanessa Jecko had a home run for MVCC, while Sara Beck, Brittany Englert, Brittany Pogoda and Megan Carlo all had triples. Brianna Georgia added a double for the Hawks.
In the final game, Sara Ryan had a double and a triple for Mohawk Valley (7-9 overall), while Englert had a double and a home run.
Randi Strumpfler and Beck each had home runs for MVCC, while Kristin Stoddard added a triple.
Broadalbin-Perth graduate Megan Gerow earned the win for the Hawks in the second game.
