JOHNSTOWN – Jackie Clayburn delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to lead Johnstown to a 13-12 win over Gloversville in a Foothills Council softball game Saturday.
The teams combined for 26 hits and 13 errors in the contest.
Clayburn’s single plated Briana Esposito who drew a leadoff walk.
Esposito was 3-for-3 with two doubles, four runs scored and six RBIs for the Lady Bills (3-4 overall), while Jordyn Hale was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Gloversville, which trailed 8-2 after two innings, tied the game in the top of the seventh by scoring three runs to tie the game at 12-12.
Alexis Capasso was 5-for-5 for Gloversville (2-7 overall), hitting for the cycle and piling up five RBIs.
Ashley Ostrander had a solo home run, scored three runs and had three RBIs for the Huskies.

SHARON SPRINGS – Anna Husain pitched a no-hitter to lead Mayfield to a Western Athletic Conference win over Sharon Springs.
Husain struck out 14 and walked none on her way to the complete-game win.
Husain also had two hits, including a home run and three RBIs for the Lady Panthers (5-1 overall, 4-1 WAC).
Lisa Hime had four singles, five stolen bases, three RBIs and two runs scored for the Lady Panthers.
Nicole Little had a triple, single, two RBIs and two runs scored for Mayfield, while Maria Messina, Heather Geier and Julie Hampton each had singles.

Fort Plain splits pair
HERKIMER – The Fort Plain softball team split a pair of games at the Mudville Tournament on Saturday.
In the first game, the Lady Hilltoppers posted a 9-4 win over Remsen.
Abby Boyer had three hits for Fort Plain, while Haley Kilmartin had two singles. Kendra Trembley, Brianna Florian, Jenna Barhydt, Jamie Fredericks and Mackenzie Stevens all had singles for the Lady Hilltoppers.
Melissa Hallenbeck, Alexis Lafave, Hailey Murray and Morgan Murray each had singles for Remsen.
In the second game, Fort Plain lost 7-1 to Stockbridge Valley.
Tiffani Jacobs was 3-for-4 for Stockbridge Valley, while Teresa Meeker was 3-for-3.
Meriah Beauvais added a single and a home run for Stockbridge Valley.
Fredericks had a single and a double for Fort Plain (6-2 overall), while Florian, Kilmartin, Boyer and Barhydt all had singles.
