H.S. Softball Roundup: South Glens Falls cruises past Broadalbin-Perth, 17-0

BROADALBIN – Mallory Celeste went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs to lead South Glens Falls to a 17-0 win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council softball game Friday.

The Bulldogs scored eight runs in the first inning on their way to the win.

Sami Hubinsky pitched a two-hitter for South Glens Falls (7-0 Foothills), while Amber Bourdeau had a double and three RBIs.

Caitlin Rasefske and Nicole Traver each had singles for Broadalbin-Perth (4-4 overall, 4-3 Foothills).

WELLS – Willsboro put 17 runs on the board in the second inning on its way to a lopsided win over Wells.

Brittany Woodward was 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs for Wells (0-4 overall, 0-4 MVAC), while Bobbi-Jo Page was 3-for-5 with a solo home run, double and three RBIs.

Sam Zemken had a single and three runs scored for the Lady Indians, while Chelsea Simons had a single.

Wells will travel to Long Lake today to face Indian Lake-Long Lake at 11 a.m.

FRANKFORT – Frankfort-Schuyler scored 11 times in the sixth inning on its way to a win over Dolgeville.

Katie Raab picked up the win for Frankfort-Schuyler, while Courtney Rachon took the loss for Dolgeville (0-8 overall, 0-8 CSC).

On Thursday, Dolgeville dropped a 4-2 decision at Clinton.

Mariah Gibson pitched a four-hitter for Clinton, while Cheyanne Sullivan allowed five hits in the loss for Dolgeville.

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Jamie Fredericks pitched a three-hitter, leading Fort Plain to a win over Richfield Springs in the first round of the Richfield Springs Tournament.

Fredericks struck out five and walked just one on her way to the complete-game win.

Sierra Logan had a triple and an RBI for Fort Plain (9-4 overall), while Jenna Barhydt and Haley Kilmartin each had two singles.

Abby Boyer and Fredericks added singles for the Lady Hilltoppers.

Emma Miner, Rebecca Smith and Madisyn Butler had singles for Richfield Springs.
