Hudson Falls cruises to win over Gloversville

GLOVERSVILLE – The Hudson Falls Tigers pushed four runs across the plate in the opening innings and cruised to victory over Gloversville 14-2 Friday at Gloversville Middle School.

Shawn Funk went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Huskies, while Alexis Capasso and Ashley Kazala both singled to account for Gloversville’s four hits in the Foothills contest.

Gloversville will take to its home diamond again Tuesday against Queensbury

MOREAU – South Glens Falls eighth-grader Amber Bourdeau fired a no-hitter Friday to defeat the Lady Bills.

Bourdeau recorded four strike outs and walked none in the victory.

WELLS – Sam Zemken, Brittany Woodward and Alex Brenan all doubled and Bobbi-Jo Page triple for the Lady Indians but it was not enough against visiting Chazy.

AMSTERDAM – With the game tied at three, Tessa Fiberto led off the bottom of the seventh for Amsterdam with a double and scored on a throwing error on Hannah Crok’s bunt to give the Lady Rams the win

Ashley Przybylowicz had a big day at the plate for Amsterdam, connecting for a double single and a bases loaded three RBI triple in the bottom of the fifth.

Michela Publisis recorded nine strikeouts for Amsterdam.
