Boys Soccer Roundup: B-P routs Hudson Falls, 10-0

BROADALBIN – Austin Famiglietti and Francesco Mastrocinque each finished with hat tricks as Broadalbin-Perth rolled past Hudson Falls, 10-0, in a Foothills Council boys soccer contest Monday.

In addition to his three goals, Mastrocinque also had three assists, while Famiglietti had one.

Claudio Mastrocinque added two assists for the Patriots (5-1 overall, 4-1 Foothills), while Justin Marek, Mike Casey, Logan Ackley and Dingman all had one assist.

Ryan Dingman, Connor Monks, Stephen Spraker and Taz Taylor also scored for the Patriots, who led 6-0 at halftime and outshot Hudson Falls 23-0.

B-P netminder Devin Page didn’t need to make a save to earn his fifth shutout of the season.

Kyle Rich made six saves for Hudson Falls (0-5 overall, 0-4 Foothills.

South Glens Falls 1, Queensbury 0

QUEENSBURY – Cody Kostrzebski scored the game’s lone goal on an assist from Teddy Brushini, leading South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council win over Queensbury.

Evan Brooks made six saves to earn the shutout win in goal for South Glens Falls (4-1 Foothills)

Tyler Raymond made six saves for Queensbury (3-1 Foothills).

Scotia-Glenville 4, Glens Falls 1

GLENS FALLS – Owen Fingar scored twice, leading Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council win over Glens Falls.

Mike Fraioli and Caleb Hughes also scored for the Tartans (3-1 Foothills). Fraioli and Mike Palleschi each had an assist for Scotia-Glenville, which outshot Glens Falls 19-5.

Logan Kunst scored the lone goal for the Indians (0-4 Foothills).

Mayfield 5, Canajoharie 0

CANAJOHARIE – Todd Briggs scored twice to lead Mayfield to a shutout win over Canajoharie.

Matt Messina finished with a goal and an assist for the Panthers, while Josh Ivancic and James Sweeney also scored.

James Winsman and Riley Yager each had an assist for Mayfield.

Lucas VanNostrand made two saves to earn the shutout win in goal for the Panthers, who outshot the Cougars 9-2.

Zach Young made 10 saves for Canajoharie.

Northville 0, Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 0

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Nate Trumbull made nine saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah in a scoreless draw with Northville.

Tim Monette made four saves for the Falcons (4-0-1 overall, 4-0-1 WAC), who outshot the Wolves 14-9.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (1-2-1 overall, 1-2-1 WAC) will host Galway on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., while Northville will host Schoharie on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Saratoga Catholic 3, Galway 0

GALWAY – Michael Naughton had a goal and an assist, leading Saratoga Central Catholic to a shutout win over Galway.

Luke Spicer and Liam Rice also scored for the Saints, who scored all three of their goals in the second half.

Joe Schmidt made eight saves to record the shutout win in goal for Saratoga Catholic.

Robbie Baron made six saves for Galway.

Mekeel Christian 1, Sharon Springs 0

SCOTIA – Tyler Guido scored the game’s only goal, lifting Mekeel Christian Academy to a win over Sharon Springs.

Jacob Kahler made two saves to earn the shutout win in goal for Mekeel Christian.

Matt Jozifek made eight saves for Sharon Springs.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1, Middleburgh 0 (2 OT)

BERNE – Lukus Becker scored the game’s only goal to lead Berne-Knox-Westerlo to a double-overtime win over Middleburgh.

Trevor Haack made seven saves to earn the shutout win in goal for BKW.

Austin Smith made four saves for Middleburgh.
