SANBORN – The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men’s soccer team lost its season opener at Niagara County Community College on Saturday, 4-0.
The two teams played on even terms until late in the first half when Niagara scored on a penalty kick. Four minutes later Niagara’s corner kick took a deflection and rebounded into the goal. A breakaway and a goal in the final minute of the second half gave the ThunderWolves the victory.
FMCC (0-1 overall) will host Clinton in its home opener Wednesday at 5 p.m.
