Knights top Braves 2-1 in overtime

FONDA – The Fonda-Fultonville Braves got a first-half goal from Ian Coyne to take the early lead before Lansingburgh tallied a goal off a free kick at the top of the penalty area with 10 minutes left in regulation, which Luke Fane finished off to tie the Colonial Council boys soccer match and send it into overtime.

The Knights got the game winner in the second overtime period when Noah Cipperly slid a pass to Dakota Franklin, who played the ball into the upper corner for the win.

Lansingburgh finished with 17 shots on goal, while Fonda-Fultonville had 16.

Tyler Folmsee recorded 10 saves for the Braves, while Jared Jarosz notched nine saves for Lansingburgh.

Fonda-Fultonville coach Matt Bloom credited Ryan Park and Tristan Nellis with having strong defensive games.
