SALEM – Isaac Isom rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns, leading Salem to a 27-13 Class D quarterfinal victory over Canajoharie on Saturday.
The Generals trailed 13-6 heading into the fourth quarter before scoring 21 unanswered points to earn the win.
Isom scored on runs of 50, 4 and 9 yards for Salem, while Ryan Slater added a 9-yard touchdown run.
The Salem defense limited the Cougars to 64 yards rushing on 31 carries.
Jace Fox scored on a 3-yard run for Canajoharie (5-3 overall), while Zach Folts added a 1-yard touchdown run.
Salem (5-3) overall will face Cambridge in the Class D semifinals next Saturday at Schuylerville High School at 1 p.m.
Cambridge defeated Whitehall, 48-18, in the quarterfinals Saturday.
