Girls Soccer Roundup: Northville edges Galway

GALWAY – Tessa Hadland scored both goals, leading Northville to a 2-1 victory over Galway in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Saturday.

Hadland scored the game-winning goal with 17:08 to play for the Falcons.

Erica Chase scored the lone goal for Galway on an assist from Shelby Suits.

Taylor Fancher made 10 saves for Northville (6-7 overall, 6-5 WAC).

Galway slipped to 7-6 overall and 5-5 in WAC play with the loss.

Northville is scheduled to travel to Middleburgh on?Friday for a 4:15 p.m contest.

Center State Conference

Remsen 5, Dolgeville 0

REMSEN – Elisha Hamilton finished with two goals and an assist, leading Remsen to a shutout win over Dolgeville.

Joleen Marfone had two goals for Remsen (9-1 overall), while Cortney Taylor added a goal and an assist. Brittany Waterbury recorded two assists for Remsen, while Taylor Childers had one assist.

Mieka Scott and Natalia Degristina combined to make five saves to share the shutout win in goal for Remsen.

Katie Millard finished with 29 saves for Dolgeville (4-7-1 overall).


Catholic Central 4, Canajoharie 1

CANAJOHARIE – Lexi Rifflebach and Madison Purcell finished with two goals and an assist, leading Catholic Central to a win over Canajoharie.

Lauren Drake added an assist for Catholic Central, who scored all four goals in the second half to rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit.

Jordyn Logan scored the lone goal for Canajoharie on an assist from Jordan Hammons.

Lauren Paravella made three saves for the Crusaders.

Lauren Balfe and Andrea Dingman combined to make 20 saves for the Lady Cougars (9-3 overall).
