QUEENSBURY – The Johnstown golf team finished fifth Monday at the Foothills Council Tournament at Glens Falls Country Club.
Queensbury won the team title with a total of 325, while Scotia-Glenville (337) was second and Glens Falls (345) was third. South Glens Falls (354) was fourth, Johnstown (362) was fifth, Broadalbin-Perth (365) was sixth and Gloversville (378) was seventh.
Glens Falls’ Alex Gibson won the individual title in a tiebreaker over Gloversville’s Josh Fonda after both finished with rounds of 73.
South Glens Falls’ Clark Leonelli was third with a 75, while Hudson Falls’ Wyatt Gorham and Queensbury’s Josh Bonn tied for fourth with rounds of 79.
Broadalbin-Perth’s Alex Bond was seventh with an 81, while Johnstown’s Chris Geleta was 11th with an 84.
Alex Hornidge added a 92 for the Sir Bills, while Richie Lee and Chris Renda each finished with rounds of 93.
Brett Getman finished with a 93 for Broadalbin-Perth, while Noah Scott had a 94 and Mike Schebel had a 97.
Kyle Johnston posted a 98 for Gloversville, Justin Putnam had a 101 and Anthony Ponticello added a 107.
Gibson, Fonda, Gorham, Bond, Geleta and Leonelli were all named to the all-league team.
Also named to the all-league team were Queenbury’s Colin Gaunt, Scotia-Glenville’s David Renko and Scotia-Glenville’s Dan Omicinski.

Fonda-Fultonville 176, Voorheesville 180
FONDA – Luke Calkins, Adam DeSorbo, Tony Angioli and Justin Galusha all finished with rounds of 44 to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a win over Voorheesville.
Dom Mancini added a 48 for the Braves, while Jack Mulyca posted a 53.
Dennis Ziamandanis led Voorheesville with a 35, while Frankie Tedesco posted a 40. Tom Gallahder had a 45 for the Blackbirds, Willie Gallagher carded a 47, Kristian Singh finished with a 53 and Ronny Hoogkamp added a 58.

Canajoharie fourth at tourney
RAVENA?- The Canajoharie golf team finished fourth at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at Sycamore Country Club.
Saratoga Catholic won the team title with a total of 355. Berne-Knox-Westerlo (395) was second,?Duanesburg (397) was third, Canajoharie (405) was fourth and Schoharie (412) was fifth. Fort Plain was eighth with a total of 485 and Northville-Mayfield was ninth with a total of 494.
Northville-Mayfield’s Jordon?Fordyce won the individual title with a round of 80.
Saratoga Catholic’s Dylan?Seeber was second with an 83.
Canajoharie’s Sam?Shostek was sixth with a round of 95.
Fordyce also was named the league’s MVP.
Seeber, Welcome and?Szekely were named first-team?WAC all-stars.
Also named first-team all-stars were Duanesburg’s Pat McGarry, Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s Cory?Depeaux and Northville-Mayfield’s Gavon?Winn.
Canajoharie’s Austin?Countryman and Michael Balfe were named second-team all-stars. Also named to the second team were Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s C.J.?North, Saratoga Catholic’s Colin Bradley and Northville-Mayfield’s Frank?Coulter.
