DOLGEVILLE – The Dolgeville girls volleyball team needed a win to qualify for the Section III postseason tournament.
Friday night, the Blue Devils were successful as they defeated Sauquoit Valley 3-1 on game scores of 25-21, 17-25, 25-22 and 25-11 to earn a berth in the sectional tournament.
Kaylee Brandow led Dolgeville with 18 kills, two blocks, three digs and five aces. Rachael Gross had 19 assists to go with seven kills and nine digs, while Katie Millard had 11 digs, 11 assists, seven kills and two aces. Emily Krasko added 11 digs and Emily Giarusso had 17 digs.
Ashle Lallier had 10 kills, five digs and a block for Sauquoit, while Kira McClusky had eight kills and three digs and Brittany Kuhn had seven digs and 15 assists.
