SCHENECTADY – Ayodele Akinmola finished with 31 points and six steals to lead Fulton-Montgomery Community College to a 100-62 win over Schenectady County Community College in a Mountain Valley Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday.
Akinmola’s effort also included a 13-for-13 effort from the free-throw line.
Dylan O’Connor had five 3-pointers as part of a 30-point effort for the Raiders, who led 47-30 at the half.
Tremaine Elder finished with 13 points and nine rebounds for FMCC.
Chanse Watson had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead Schenectady County, which won the first meeting between the team Dec. 2 by a 64-60 margin.
Jordan DeVaughn finished with 15 points for the Royals.
FMCC (7-9 overall) is scheduled to host Herkimer College next Wednesday at 7 p.m.

FMCC women lose
to SCCC, 72-62
SCHENECTADY – Morgan Sullivan finished with 28 points, five rebounds and five steals to lead Schenectady County Community College to a 72-62 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in a Mountain Valley Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday.
The Lady Raiders trailed 47-45 after three quarters before the Royals outscored them 25-17 in the final quarter to earn the victory.
Shikera Lawson scored 19 points and grabbed 27 rebounds for Schenectady County (9-8 overall), while Dani Reppleyea had 14 points. Taylor Cater added 11 points for the Royals.
Karizma Fleurimond scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead FMCC (13-4 overall, 7-3 MVC), which lost for the third time in four games after starting the season 12-1.
The Lady Raiders won the first meeting between the teams, 87-64, on Dec. 2.
Abby Boyer finished with 14 points and seven rebounds for the Lady Raiders, while Moet Jenkins added 10 points and six rebounds. My’eesa Grant added 14 rebounds for FMCC, which is scheduled to host Herkimer College next Wednesday at 5 p.m.
