SARATOGA SPRINGS – Julie Hampton scored 15 points to allow Mayfield to escape with a 35-34 win over Saratoga Central Catholic in a Western Athletic Conference North Division girls basketball contest Friday.
The Lady Panthers led 26-21 heading into the fourth quarter before having to withstand a late rally by the Lady Saints to hold on for the victory.
Kaylee Bumpus finished with eight points for Mayfield (12-3 overall, 10-1 WAC).
Emma VanDeCar had nine points and seven rebounds for Saratoga Catholic (6-5 WAC), while Ani Crocker added eight points.
