Mayfield girls lose to Mekeel Christian

MAYFIELD – Lexy Rychcik scored 13 points to lead Mekeel Christian Academy to a 35-29 win over Mayfield in a non-league girls basketball game Tuesday.

The Lady Lions outscored the Lady panthers 13-5 in the first quarter on their way to the win.

Rebekkah Dean finished with 12 points for Mekeel Christian.

Julie Hampton scored 11 points to lead Mayfield (12-5 overall).

NORTHVILLE – Charlotte Kalkbrenner finished with 12 points and 17 rebounds to lead Northville to a non-league win over Hadley-Luzerne.

The Lady Falcons outscored the Eagles 16-4 in the opening quarter on their way to the victory.

Hannah Coupas added 11 points and 11 rebounds for Northville (4-12 overall)

Kassidy Plummer had eight points to lead Hadley-Luzerne.

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Laura Wind scored 13 of her 19 points in the first half to lead Little Falls to a non-league win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville.

Wind, who had five 3-pointers, helped the Mounties to a 31-15 lead at the half.

Nicole Failing scored 13 points for Little Falls, while Geena Marotti added 12.

Britton, who was 12-for-13 from the free-throw line, scored eight of Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Shayla Lyons had 11 points for the Bulldogs.

Ashlyn O’Neil scored 14 points to lead Galway (10-6 overall), while Maddy Ritter added 11.
