WAC announces bowling all-stars

LATHAM – The Western Athletic Conference named its boys and girls bowling all-stars Friday during the WAC Tournament at Spare Time Latham.

Schoharie’s Makayla Williams was named the girls Most Valuable Player. She also had the league’s high average with a 208.

Canajoharie had Amy Reedy and Kiara Putnam named to the all-star team. Reedy also had the league’s high series during the regular season with a 618.

Rounding out the WAC girls all-star team were Middleburgh’s Taylor Dolan, Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s Hannah Young and Middleburgh’s Carolyne Shultes. Dolan also had the league’s high game with a 233 during the regular season.

Schoharie’s Perry Lawyer was named the boys Most Valuable Player. He also had the league’s high average of 211.

Middleburgh had William Miaski, Donavan Mann, Kevin Guest and Nick Wilsey named all-stars, while Guest had the league’s high series with a 727.

Berne-Knox-Westerlo’s Chris Young also was named to the boys all-star team, while Canajoharie’s Mike Baldwin had the league’s high game with a 278.
