Amsterdam fourth at Foothills tourney

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – South Glens Falls won the team title at the Foothills Council Tournament at Kingpin’s Alley on Monday.

The Bulldogs finished with a team total of 6,340, while Scotia-Glenville was second with 6,017. Hudson Falls (5,968) was third, Amsterdam (5,835) was fourth and Johnstown (5,927) was fifth. Queensbury (5,927) finished sixth, Broadalbin-Perth (5,539) was seventh, Gloversville (5,523) was eighth, Schuylerville (5,302) was ninth and Glens Falls (5,225) was 10th.

Jay Hadcock led Johnstown with a total of 1,310 pins in six games, while Garrett Hadcock finished with a total of 1,190. Andy Sitterly added a total of 1,178 for the Sir Bills.

Colonial Council Tournament

SCHENECTADY – The Lansingburgh boys and girls claimed the team titles at the Colonial Council Tournament at Boulevard Bowl.

In the boys tourney, Lansingburgh finished with a total of 3,799 pins, while Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk was second with 3,451 pins. Schalmont (3,414), Mechanicville (3,410) and Maple Hill (3,069) completed the top five. Fonda-Fultonville finished 10th with a total of 2,526 pins.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk’s Patrick McBride had the high single of the tournament with a 269, while Ravena’s Mike Hotaling had the high triple with a 690.

In the girls tournament, Lansingburgh finished with a total of 3,717 pins to claim the team title. Mechanicville (3,160) was second and Cohoes (2,918) was third. Schalmont (2,861) finished fourth and Maple Hill (2,669) was fifth. Fonda-Fultonville finished seventh with a total of 1,879 pins.

Lansingburgh’s Gianna Weiss had the tournament’s high single with a 246, while Lansingburgh’s Katie Lynch had the high triple with a 673.
