GLENS FALLS – After trailing Scotia-Glenville by 13 points in the opening half of Thursday’s Foothills Council boys championship game, the Glens Falls Indians rallied to topple the defending league champion Tartans 71-68 at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Joseph Girard III hit a 3-pointer with 6.6-seconds left to play and delivered four free throws in the final seconds to lift the Indians to victory.
Girard finished with 31 points, including six 3-pointers, while Tony Green chipped in with 21 points.
Christian Corner delivered a 28-point effort for Scotia-Glenville, while Rhys Teneyke added 14 and Sean Degraffenreid chipped in with 12.
The Indians finished with 12 3-pointers in the game, while the Tartans finished with 10.
