Alejandro, Funk compete for Sage

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Sage women’s and men’s outdoor track and field teams travelled to Connecticut to compete at the Wesleyan University Swanson Invitational, a non-team scored meet. Along the way, Sage’s two teams broke three school records at the meet.

A Sage men’s team record was broken for the third time this season as freshman Zachary Funk, a Gloversville graduate, broke his standard in the 800 meters with his time of 2:05.85 and took home 7th. He broke his record set two weeks ago of 2:09. 01.

Junior Ian Alejandro, an Amsterdam graduate, posted a time of 2:15.24 to take ninth in the 800-meter run.

The Gators will compete Capital District Championship at RPI on April 30.
