JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men’s bowling team recently announced the addition of Jay Hadcock to the program for the 2016-17 season.
Hadcock is a senior at Johnstown High School and plans to attend FMCC in the fall as a construction technology major and play for the bowling team.
Hadcock has been bowling since he was 5 years old and it has been a big part of his life ever since. He has been on the varsity bowling team at Johnstown since he was in seventh grade and also competes in Capital District Youth Scholarship Tour tournaments.
Hadcock also was named a first-team Foothills Council all-star in his senior season.
“I am excited to be a part of the inaugural season of the bowling program at FMCC.” Hadcock said in a news release. “Coach [Tom] Rathbun came to see me at sectionals and I really got a good feeling from him. I am looking forward to being a Raider and staying close to home.”
Rathbun said that he is looking forward to the upcoming season and the addition of Hadcock.
“I am glad Jay is our first signee. It is important to recruit in all of the northeast, but it is just as important to recruit in our own backyard and there will be more talented bowlers to come like Jay,” Rathbun said in the release.
The inaugural bowling season at FMCC kicks off in the winter of 2016.
