MAYFIELD – The Mayfield-Northville girls track team swept Galway and Mekeel Christian Academy, while the boys earned a split decision in Western Athletic Conference track and field action Tuesday afternoon at Mayfield Elementary School.
The Mayfield-Northville girls defeated Galway 89-48 and Mekeel Christian Academy 73-62, while Mekeel Christian Academy defeated Galway 79-57.
The Galway boys swept the dual meet, defeating Mekeel Christian Academy 89-31 and Mayfield-Northville 71-61. Mayfield-Northville beat Mekeel Christian Academy 102-31.
Kaylee Bumpus was a double winner for Mayfield-Northville, picking up individual victories in the 100-meter dash and the pole vault.
Emily Frasier, Hannah Coupas and Jill Hadland also posted individual victories for the Mayfield-Northville girls.
On the boys side, Josh Febbie picked up victories in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs for Mayfield-Northville, while Tyler Newkirk won the 400-meter hurdles and Nathan VanHorn won the long jump.

FORT PLAIN – The Canajoharie Cougars overpowered the competition at Tuesday’s dual meet at the Fort Plain Sports Complex.
Canajoharie defeated host Fort Plain 116-24 and Saratoga Catholic 125-13. The Hilltoppers defeated Spa Catholic 85-34
In the girls meet, Fort Plain topped the Canajoharie Lady Cougars 74-65 and Spa Catholic 91-28. Canajoharie beat Saratoga Catholic 97-40.
Kevin Mazzarella, Kaisean Adams and Ken Sullivan Jr. were double individual winners for the Canajoharie boys, while Kevin Cronin posted two wins for Spa Catholic.
On the girls side, Jordan Porter posted three individual victories for Canajoharie, winning the 100, 400 and 800 meter events. Maddy Elliott won the 1,500- and 3,000-meter runs, while Sydney Weingart won the 100- and 400-meter hurdle events.
Love Nemecek picked up the victories in the shot put and discus for Fort Plain, while Brandy Walters won the long and triple jumps.

Frank won the 400-meter hurdles and the pole vault for the Sir Bills, while Brandon Mraz won the 3,200-meter run and Thomas Lizio won the discus and Nick Fraiser topped the field in the high jump.
Justin Ruan and Jacob Greski were double winners for the Tartans.

LANSINGBURGH – Damion Freeman picked up three wins in Tuesday’s Colonial Council meet at Lansingburgh High School.
Freeman won the 800- and 3,200-meter runs for the Braves and topped the field in the high jump.
Bryan Finn swept the shot put and discus, while Ben Vardai-Davidson won the pole vault and the 110-meter hurdles and Connor Hanson won the 400 meters and the triple jump.
