Danny Johnson, John McAuliffe, Luke Horning, Josh Coonradt, Brian Calabrese, claim feature wins at Fonda Speedway

FONDA – Danny Johnson made the most of a late-race caution to move past race-leader Jimmy Davis and Ronnie Johnson into the lead and hold on for the victory on Dave Lape tribute night Saturday at Fonda Speedway.

Davis held the point with the caution flew with four laps remaining and Johnson used his second-row outside starting spot to power his way to the front and record his 11th career feature win at the Track of Champions.

Davis held off Ronnie Johnson for second, while Bobby Varin also made a late-race move to get fourth and Jeremy Wilder got up for fifth.

Josh Hohenforst, Jessey Mueller, Bodie bellinger, Justin Boehler and Jeff rockefeller round out the top 10.

John McAuliffe returned to Victory Lane Saturday, taking the 602 sportsman field from green-to-checkers for his second win of the season.

Billy Gray chased McAuliffe across the line, while rocky Warner finished third, David Constantino fourth and Ray Zemken fifth.

Luke Horning collected his second pro stock victory of the season over Jim Normoyle Jr., Jason Casey, Pete Broderson and Jim Normoyle Sr.

Kenny Gates, Justin Knight, Chuck Dumblewski, Shane Henderson and Jay Casey complete the top 10.

Josh Coonradt returned to Victory Lane in the street stock feature, while Rob Sanford picked up the victory in the vintage modified feature and John “The Dancing Bear” Constantino collected the win for the vintage sportsmen.

Brian Calabrese took home the victory in the rookie sportsman division.
