BINGHAMTON – The Fort Plain baseball team won the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class D title on Saturday at SUNY Broome.
The Hilltoppers, who won the Section II title, defeated Section III champ West Canada Valley in the title game, 11-6.
Fort Plain advanced to the finals with an 11-0 win over Section V champion Genesee Valley in the semifinals.
It is the first state title for the Hilltoppers since 2007.
