AHS girls tennis tops Glens Falls, 6-1

GLENS FALLS – The Amsterdam Lady Rams swept the singles competition en route to defeating host Glens Falls 6-1 in Foothills Council girls tennis action Wednesday at Glens Falls High School.

Molly Monge won the number 1 singles match, while Gabby DiSalvi, Prabha Singh, Gianna Quatrini and Natalie Flint closed out the singles sweep.

Caylynn Vitus and Janina Sjoberg took home the No. 2 doubles victory, while Hannah Pettis and Laura Hendley won No. 1 doubles for Glens Falls’ lone victory.

JOHNSTOWN – Chloe Salisbury and Sarah Martelle picked up the victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches for Johnstown Wednesday at the Knox Field courts.

Salisbury defeated Greenwich’s Amanda Thomas 7-5, 6-1, while Martelle defeated Madelyn Brophy 6-2, 6-2 in second singles.
