Johnstown edged by Glens Falls

JOHNSTOWN – Glens Falls won two singles matches and both doubles contests to post a 4-3 win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council girls tennis match at Knox Field.

McKenna Clark and Lauren Dwyre won singles matches for Glens Falls (2-4 overall, 2-4 Foothills).

Laura Hendley and Olivia Leland won at first doubles for the Indians, while Tori Bullard and Olivia Cohen won at second doubles.

Chloe Salisbury, Sarah Martelle and Mallory DeFrancis all won singles matches for Johnstown (0-6 overall, 0-6 Foothills).

GREENWICH – Amsterdam won all five singles matches on its way to a Foothills Council win over Greenwich.

Molly Monge, Gabby DiSalvi, Prabha Singh, Gianna Quatrini and Natalie Flint all won singles matches for the Lady Rams.

Calynn Vitus and Janina Sjoberg won at second doubles for Amsterdam (5-1 overall, 4-1 Foothills).

Petra Heinimann and Amanda Ennis won at first doubles for Greenwich (1-6 overall, 1-6 Foothills).

Amsterdam is slated to travel to South Glens Falls on Monday for a 4:15 p.m. contest.
