Lady Wolves blank Lady Braves, 7-0

FONDA – Abby Mosher netted three first-half goals to help Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a 7-0 win over Fonda-Fultonville in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Wednesday.

Mosher also had three assists for the Lady Wolves, who improved to 8-2 overall and 7-1 in WAC play.

Addie Brundage and Alexis Romeyn each scored twice for OESJ, while Romeyn added an assist. Fontana LaCoppola and Ashley Engle each had an assist for the Lady Wolves.

Caitlin Handy made three saves to earn the shutout win in goal for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville.

Ryleigh Hesch made 17 saves for FFCS (4-6-1 overall, 3-5-1 WAC).

Northville 2, Mekeel Christian 0

SCOTIA – Kerrigan Groff and Brytney Moore scored to lead Northville to a shutout win over Mekeel Christian Academy.

Jenna Forsey and Hannah Coupas each had an assist for the Lady Falcons, who improved to 8-4 overall and 7-2 in WAC play.

Fort Plain 1, Canajoharie 0

FORT PLAIN – Emile Swank scored the game’s only goal to lead Fort Plain to a WAC victory over Canajoharie.

Eryka Swank assisted on the goal for the Lady Hilltoppers, who improved to 5-6 overall and 5-5 in WAC play.

Canajoharie slipped to 3-5-2 overall and 3-4-2 in WAC play with the loss.

Schoharie 6, Mayfield 1

MAYFIELD – Katie Krohn finished with a hat trick to lead Schoharie to a WAC victory over Mayfield.

Bryn MacDonald had a goal and an assist for the Indians, while Carrie Krohn and Denise Woodman also scored. Megan Krohn and Maddie Phelan each had an assist for Schoharie.

Camryn Meca scored the lone goal for Mayfield on an assist from Juliana Buyce.

Abby Wetsel made just one save to earn the win in goal for Schoharie (10-0 WAC).

Sydney Benton finished with five saves for Mayfield (1-8-1 overall, 1-6-1 WAC).

Galway 3, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 2

BERNE – Jennifer Rumsey, Leah Vanderhorst and Maya Vanderhorst scored to lead Galway to a win over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Stephanie Mason and Skyler Peay scored for BKW.

Grace Montague made five saves for Galway, while Nicole Filkins made six stops for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Middleburgh 3, Duanesburg 0

DUANESBURG – Becky Bruno, Julia Newsome and Rylie Smith scored to lead Middleburgh to a WAC victory over Duanesburg.

Sam Petrosino made just two saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Knights.

Madison Stealy made 12 stops for Duanesburg.

Foothills Council

Johnstown 2, Amsterdam 1

AMSTERDAM – Abby Gottung and Ally Queeney scored to lead Johnstown to a Foothills Council South Division win over Amsterdam at Lynch Literacy Academy.

Molly Sear had an assist for the Lady Bills, who improved to 3-6-2 overall and 3-5-2 in Foothills Council play.

Lucia Liverio scored the lone goal for Amsterdam on an assist from Daliana Figeroa.

The Lady Rams slipped to 2-6-1 overall and 2-6-1 in Foothills play.

Scotia-Glenville 6, Gloversville 0

SCOTIA – Myah Hughes and Alexis Zatlokowicz each scored twice to lead Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council South Division win over Gloversville.

Paige Bailey finished with a goal and two assists for Scotia-Glenville (9-0-1 Foothills), while Lauren Zeglen also scored.

Sydnee Smith had three assists for the Lady Tartans, while Tanya Legeiero added one assist.

Lauren Hosner made just one save to post the shutout win in goal for Scotia-Glenville.

Alex Benfatti made 11 saves for Gloversville (7-4-1 overall, 7-4 Foothills).

South Glens Falls 11, Glens Falls 0

GLENS FALLS – Emma Bovair scored twice to lead South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council North Division win over Glens Falls.

Aly Fish had a goal and an assist for South Glens Falls (7-2 Foothills), while Jaime DeSimone, Gabrielle Kreppein, Amya Naja and Jess Winslow each had a goal and an assist.

Ali Buser, Morgan Smith and Kailyn Woodward also scored for the Bulldogs.

Mikayla Bennett made 14 saves for Glens Falls (0-10 Foothills).

Queensbury 6, Hudson Falls 0

QUEENSBURY – Emily Vetter had two goals and an assist to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council North Division win over Hudson Falls.

Maddie Montgomery scored twice for Queensbury (6-4 Foothills), while Jenna Snyder and Rachel Spaulding also scored.

Lily Buck made four saves to post the shutout win in goal for the Spartans.

Abra LaFontaine made 15 saves for Hudson Falls (2-7-1 Foothills).
