South Glens Falls tops Broadalbin-Perth, 3-2

BROADALBIN – The top two teams in the Foothills Council standings, Broadalbin-Perth in the South and South Glens Falls in the North, squared off Thursday afternoon at Broadalbin-Perth High School.

The match went the distance with South High pulling out a 3-2 victory over the Lady Patriots on scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-19.

Hannah Pichardo led South Glens Falls (4-0 overall, 4-0 Foothills) with 19 kills and eight digs, while Alison Taylor had 13 kills. Trinity Hallenbeck had 20 points and 20 digs and Mackenzie Collier contributed 41 assists.

Jordan Marshall led Broadalbin-Perth (3-1 overall, 3-1 Foothills) with 16 kills and 13 digs, while Eliana Fraser had 12 kills. Kayla Weaver added 35 assists and Cassy Bown chipped in with five blocks.
