Girls Soccer Roundup: Second-half rally lifts Fonda-Fultonville past Fort Plain

FONDA – Alyssa Duval netted a hat trick to lead Fonda-Fultonville to a 4-2 victory over Fort Plain in a Western Athletic Conference girls soccer contest Monday.

Emma Rhodes also scored for Fonda-Fultonville (5-6-1 overall, 4-5-1 WAC), which trailed 2-0 at the half.

Baileigh Behan scored both goals for Fort Plain (6-7 overall, 5-6 WAC).

Ryleigh Hesch and Shelby Crahan combined to make 12 saves for the Lady Braves, while Zoey Horning made 12 stops for the Lady Hilltoppers.

Northville 1, Middleburgh 0

NORTHVILLE – Brytney Moore scored the game’s only goal to lead Northville to a WAC victory over Middleburgh.

Taylor Johnson made seven saves to post the shutout win in goal for Northville (9-5 overall, 8-3 WAC). It was Johnson’s fifth shutout of the season.

Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville 6, Mekeel Christian 0

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Alexis Romeyn finished with two goals and two assists to lead Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville to a WAC victory over Mekeel Christian.

Abby Mosher scored twice for the Lady Wolves, while Isabella Masi and Ashley Engle also scored.

Rebecca Trumble, Shian Harmon, Fontana LaCoppola and Engle all had assists for OESJ (10-2 overall, 9-1 WAC).

Caitlin Handy finished with just one save to post the shutout in goal for the Lady Wolves.

Rebekkah Dean made eight stops for Mekeel Christian (2-8 WAC).

Mayfield 2, Berne-Knox-Westerlo 1

MAYFIELD – Taryn LaFontaine and Juliana Buyce scored second-half goals for Mayfield in a WAC victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Kristin Norray scored the lone goal for BKW (3-3-2 WAC).

Sydney Benton finished with four saves to post the win in goal for Mayfield (2-9-1 overall).

Nicole Filkins made four stops for Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Schoharie 2, Canajoharie 0

SCHOHARIE – Katie Krohn scored both goals to lift Schoharie to a WAC victory over Canajoharie.

Meghan Krohn and Caroline Wetsel each had an assist for the Indians.

Abby Wetsel finished with 12 saves to post the shutout win in goal for Schoharie (11-0 WAC).

Bethany Mead made 11 stops for Canajoharie (4-6-2 overall, 4-5-2 WAC).

Foothills Council

Broadalbin-Perth 2, Amsterdam 1

BROADALBIN -Rose Barnhart netted the game-winning goal with 13 minutes to play to lead Broadalbin-Perth to a Foothills Council South Division win over Amsterdam.

The Lady Rams led 1-0 at the half before the Lady Patriots scored twice after the break to earn the victory.

Bella Magliocca also scored for B-P (3-8 overall, 3-7 Foothills), while Naomi Fraser added an assist.

Lucia Liverio scored the lone goal for Amsterdam (2-7-1 overall, 2-7-1 Foothills), while Emma Patrei had an assist.

Emily Denman made six saves for the Lady Patriots, while Victoria Barone-Lopez made 10 stops for the Lady Rams.

Scotia-Glenville 7, Johnstown 0

SCOTIA -Sydnee Smith finished with two goals and two assists to power Scotia-Glenville to a Foothills Council South Division win over Johnstown.

Tanya Legeiero had two goals and an assist for the Lady Tartans, while Alexis Zatlokowicz, Sophia Pierce and Myah Hughes also scored.

Allison Morey made 17 saves for Johnstown (3-7-2 overall, 3-6-2 Foothills).

Queensbury 8, Glens Falls 0

GLENS FALLS – Emma Nelson had two goals to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council North Division win over Glens Falls.

Emily Vetter and Ashley Rosario each had a goal and two assists for the Spartans, while Katie Birkholz had a goal and an assist.

Tara Foley, Maddie Montgomery and Rachel Spaulding also scored for Queensbury.

Schuylerville 2, South Glens Falls 0

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Cassie Patrick and Emily Vallee scored to lead South Glens Falls to a win over Schuylerville in a matchup of the top two teams in the Foothills Council North Division.

Caitlin Kelleher made six saves to earn the shutout win in goal for the Black Horses, while Molly Rafferty and Jess Winslow combined to made seven saves for the Bulldogs.

Center State Conference

Little Falls 8, Dolgeville 2

DOLGEVILLE – Maria Morotti finished with three goals and two assists to lead Little Falls to a win over Dolgeville.

Geena Morotti had a goal and three assists for the Mounties, while Kailee Jasewicz added a goal and an assist. Kharla Gullis, Nicole Failing and Olivia Langdon also scored for Little Falls.

Sarah George and Patricia Cool scored for Dolgeville (7-4-1 overall, 2-3 CSC).

Kylie Miles made four saves for Little Falls, while Bobbie Lee Hall made 17 stops for Dolgeville.
