H.S. Volleyball Roundup: Amsterdam gets past Gloversville, 3-1

AMSTERDAM – Morgan Durinick finished with 18 assists and 12 aces to lead Amsterdam to a 3-1 victory over Gloversville in a Foothills Council volleyball match Tuesday at Amsterdam High School.

The Lady Rams won by scores of 25-15, 12-25, 25-21 and 25-9.

Kateland Cooks posted nine kills for Amsterdam (4-6 overall, 3-5 Foothills).

Lucy McCredie had eight assists, seven digs and three aces for Gloversville (4-5 overall, 3-5 Foothills), while Maddy Avery finished with six assists. Jasmine Gonzalez posted seven kills for the Huskies and Macey Salvione added seven digs and four aces.

Johnstown 3, Scotia-Glenville 0

SCOTIA – Jordan Rose finished with seven digs and six kills to help Johnstown to a Foothills Council victory over Scotia-Glenville.

The Lady Bills won by scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-15.

Janay Douglas had six service points, six digs, five kills and two aces for Johnstown (6-3 overall, 5-3 Foothills), while Macenzie Ward added 11 assists, seven service points, seven kills, four digs and three aces.

The Lady Bills have won five of their last six matches.

Lauren Conley had 11 digs, 10 kills and 10 blocks for Scotia-Glenville, while Maddie Wright had 20 assists. Kelsey Brown added six digs and five kills for the Lady Tartans.

Hudson Falls 3, Broadalbin-Perth 0

HUDSON FALLS – Moira Hogan finished with 10 kills and three blocks to lead Hudson Falls to a Foothills Council victory over Broadalbin-Perth.

The Tigers won by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-19.

Kierra McCarthy had 27 digs for Hudson Falls (7-1 overall, 7-1 Foothills), while Breanna MacDuff had 34 assists and three aces.

Jana Depalo added nine kills for the Tigers.

Broadalbin-Perth slipped to 7-2 overall and 7-2 in Foothills play.
