JOHNSTOWN — Emily Fleming and Taryn Ringer will be making a trip to Richmond Va. this weekend.
The Johnstown field hockey players have been invited to participate in the Shooting Star Field Hockey Tournament in Richmond, tomorrow through Sunday as members of the Adirondack the Under-14 team.
In order to be chosen for the tournament,
Fleming and Ringer were selected after an inter-club tryout.
More than 150 club teams are registered for the tournament with 173 college coaches in attendance.
Fleming and Ringer are both eighth-graders in the Greater Johnstown School District and were starters for the Lady Bills varsity team that posted a 10-6 record this fall.
Ringer, a forward, finished the season with four goals and three assists, while Fleming, a center midfield, finished the season with one goal and two assists. She garnered honorable mention recognition in the Foothills Council.
