Royal Mountain racers compete at Gore Mountain event

NORTH CREEK — Six members of the Royal Mountain Junior Racing Team competed in the Kandahar State Championship race last weekend at Gore Mountain in North Creek.

Emily Fleming of Johnstown placed fourth overall in the girls U14 age group, earning a spot on the state team that will compete at the Piche Invitational in Gunstock, N.H. on March 17 to 19.

Colin Cotter of Johnstown placed 17th overall in the boys U12 age group, earning a spot in the U12 Future Stars camp at Windham Mountain on March 25 and 26.

Brady Cotter of Johnstown placed first overall in the boys U10 age group.

Andrew Lake of Johnstown placed 36th overall in the boys U12 age group.

Jill Sandel of Gloversville and Carter Cheney of Johnstown both completed their first runs in the U12 age groups but did not finish their second runs.
