AHS boys lacrosse loses to Queensbury

AMSTERDAM — James Conway finished with seven goals to power Queensbury to an 18-1 victory over Amsterdam in a Foothills Council boys lacrosse game Thursday at Lynch Literacy Academy.

Dawson LaLuna had four goals and two assists for the Spartans, while Colin Cunningham posted three goals and six assists. Alex Chirgwin and Nate Stone each had a goal and an assist for Queensbury (6-2 overall, 3-0 Foothills), while Mark Shevlin and Joe Gerardi also scored.

Cameron Chrzanowski scored the lone goal for Amsterdam on an assist from Mark Hughes.

Kellen Gannon and Cole Carpenter combined to make nine saves for the Spartans.

Jesse Kellogg made 20 saves for Amsterdam (1-3 overall, 0-2 Foothills).
