Dolgeville claims Conte tourney title

ST. JOHNSVILLE — Dolgeville’s Brenden Fahd struck out 12 Oppenheim-Ephratah batters to lead the Blue Devils to a 6-4 victory in the championship game of the Ben Conte Tournament Saturday.

Chase Doxtater doubled and singled for the Blue Devils and Riley Nagle had two singles in the championship game.

Seth Bly doubled for OESJ (2-1 overall, 1-1 WAC).

In the first round of the tournament, the Wolfpack defeated Middleburgh, 21-1.

Tyler Leon tossed a one-hitter for OESJ and had three singles and a double, while A.J. Hayes tripled.
