Dolgeville baseball edges Waterville

DOLGEVILLE — Playing for the third time in as many days, the Dolgeville baseball team posted a 5-4 victory over Waterville in a Center State Conference contest Wednesday.

The Blue Devils scored four times in the bottom of the fourth and held off a late Waterville rally to secure the victory.

Jimmy Baisley and Jacob Darling each went 2-for-3 for Dolgeville (10-5 overall), with Baisley finishing with two RBIs. Devin Gorinshek had a single and two RBIs for the Blue Devils, while Hunter Barnes had a double and an RBI. Chase Doxtater and Jacob Farquhar added singles for Dolgeville.

Coye Johnson had a double for Waterville, while Matthew Batson, Garrett Bramer and Sam Tower all had a single and an RBI.

Dolgeville is scheduled to host Westmoreland today at 4:30 p.m.
