FMCC baseball runs win streak to five

AMSTERDAM — The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team extended its win streak to five games with a doubleheader sweep of Mohawk Valley Community College at Shuttleworth Park.

FMCC won the first game, 14-4, and the second game, 9-6.

In the first game, FMCC trailed 4-0 after two innings before scoring six runs in both the third and fourth innings.

Ryan McNamara was 2-for-3 with home run, two RBIs and two runs scored for FMCC, while Brogan Barker had a home run, double and two RBIs. Kyle Agresta, Jake Petralia and Cory Moore all had two hits for the Raiders.

Collin Neer and Blake Altizer each had a single and a double for MVCC.

In the second game, FMCC plated six runs in the second innings on its way to the victory.

McNamara had a home run, double and four RBIs for the Raiders, while Kyle Agresta had a double and a single. Patrick Hart and Barker each had two hits for FMCC, while Kyle Sherlock added a triple.

FMCC (11-17 overall) is scheduled to travel to Utica today for a doubleheader against MVCC. The first game is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
