Foothills Council Track Roundup: Broadalbin-Perth boys, girls sweep Gloversville

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin-Perth Patriots got double victories from Ivan Roberts, Joe Vitalis, Jake Bunker and Jeff Derwin, while Eliana Fraser was a double winner for the Lady Patriots as they swept Gloversville in Foothills Council track and field action Tuesday at Broadalbin-Perth High School.

The Lady Patriots topped Gloversville 92-45, while the B-P boys posted a 122-19 win over the Huskies.

Derwin swept the throws with distances of 166-11 in the discus and 50-11 in the shot put.

Roberts won the 100 meters in 11.6 and the 200 in 24.2, while Vitalis won the 800-meter run in 2:14.70 and the 1,600 meters in 4:56. Bunker took top honors in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in 1:07.3 and the long jump with a leap of 18-3.

Fraser won the 100-meter dash for the Lady Patriots with a time of 13.5 and the 200 in 28.8.

Hailey Bugaj-Dunlap and Madison Fancher were double winners for the Gloversville girls.

Dunlap picked up victories in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:45.2 and the 1,500 meters in 5:23.

Fancher won the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 17.1 and the high jump, clearing the bar at 4-5.

Boucaud wins four in Rams’ loss

QUEENSBURY — Amsterdam senior Kevon Boucaud registered four victories in Tuesday’s Foothills Council meet at Queensbury High School.

Boucaud swept the sprints, winning the 100 in 11.0, 200 in 23.7 and the 400 meters in 53.0. He added a victory in the long jump with a leap of 20-11.

Caleb Shine was a triple winner for the Spartans, winning the triple jump with a leap of 40-7¢ to go with victories in the 110 high hurdles (15.6) and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles (60.3).

Kevin Bouyea won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs for Queensbury with times of 2:04 and 4:46 respectively, while Jeremiah Davis won the shot put with a throw of 35-6 and the discus with a toss of 101-3.

On the girls’ side, Amsterdam’s Gabby Stanavich won the 100-meter high hurdles in 15.1 and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in 69.6, while Olivia Lazarou topped the field in the 1,500 with a time of 5:10.9 and the 3,000 in 10:47.1.

Queensbury’s Chloe Liles won the long jump with a leap of 15-08¢ and the high jump with a height of 4-9.

Scotia-Glenville sweeps Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN — Sydnee Smith and Julianna Geniti were double winners for Scotia-Glenville in Tuesday’s Foothills Council meet at Knox Field.

Smith won the 100 and 200-meter dashes with times of 13.1 and 28.0, while Geniti was first to the line in the 800 meters in 2:29.30 and the 1,500 with a time of 5:14.5.

Johnstown’s Julia Sarullo won the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:47, while Jordan Rose won the 100-meter high hurdles in 18.5 and Abigail Gottung was first in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in 69.3.

Also picking up victories for the Lady Bills were Alayna Gray, Raina Danylak, Molly Sear and Emma Gottung.

Gray won the pole vault with a height of 7-0; while Danylak won the long jump with a leap of 13-3¢ and Sear won the triple jump with a distance of 33-1. Gottung picked up the victory in the discus with a throw of 71-2.

On the boys’ side, Nick Frasier, Brandon Mraz and Sebastian Mills were the lone winners for the Sir Bills.

Frasier won the high jump with a personal best of 6-3, while Mraz won the 3,200 in 10:45 and Mills took home the victory in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10-0.
