JOHNSTOWN — Caroline Weil, Linda Hotaling, Jill Holt and Linda Sweet and their team Queen Pinz finished first in the team standings of the Johnstown Women’s City Tournament with a score of 2,811. They were followed by Starlite Lanes, Arterial Lanes, Double Trouble, Kendra’s Krazies, Krazy Kats, Classy Seniors and Alley Oops.
The doubles champions were Amy Baker and Almeda Stuart with a total of 1,435, followed by Brockhum/Leighton, Hill/Ellsworth, Holt/L. Sweet, Frank/VanHoesen, Hallenbeck/Daley, Bartholf/French, Luft/Starin, Humphrey/Cole, Sparks/N. Durrin, Briscoe/Warner, Kimball/Unger, Dunlap/Dingman, Heberer/Ackerknecht and Nauroth/Foster.
Julie Dunham captured the singles title with a score of 773. Betty Daley, Allison Ellsworth, Kendra Sweet, Avis Hill, Violet Leighton, Sue VanHoesen, Cathy Meher, Tammy Thackrah, Mona Cole, Amy Baker, Julie Brockhum, Ginger Perham, Phyllis D’Errico, Monique Hornidge, Barb Sparks, Barbara Warner, Kati-lyn Meher, Michele Wiltey, Jennifer Abel, Crystal Jennings, Jessica Hayner, Gail Dunlap, Lindsey Valik, and Terry Murray rounded out the singles finishers.
Kendra Sweet claimed the all-events title with a score of 2,188. Jackie Starin was second, followed by Julie Dunham, Betty Daley, Jill Holt, Phyllis D’Errico, Sue VanHoesen, Mona Cole, Allison Ellsworth, Cathy Meher, Amy Baker, Georgia Dutcher and Almeda Stuart.
Trophies and money will be handed out at the city banquet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Perry Lanes. The cost of the dinner will be $12 per person. Anyone interested in attending can call Connie at 762-9305 before Monday. Those who can’t attend the banquet and have awards coming, may pick them up at the association meeting June 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Perry Lanes.
