FM men’s soccer splits two games

JOHNSTOWN — The Fulton-Montgomery Community College men’s occur team split a weekend series against SUNY Broome and Jefferson Community College.

FMCC fell short against Broome 4-1 on Saturday, but bounced back to beat Jefferson 6-3 on Sunday.

Jack Albertin scored the Raiders’ lone goal against Broome, while Jared Rubin and Robert Ward combined to make nine saves.

Against Jefferson on Sunday in Watertown, FMCC rallied from a 3-0 deficit to top the Cannoneers.

Jack Albertin finished with two goals and an assist for the Raiders, while Aiden VanLoan, Bern Sannon. Cameron Biche and Amir Avila also scored.

Austin Heroth and Brendan Gifford each had an assist for the Raiders.

FMCC (3-3 overall) is off until Sept. 27 when it will host Mohawk Valley at 4 p.m.
